The 63rd annual Prime Time Emmy Awards took place last night 09/18/11, in Los Angeles, Ca. The Emmy's are to television, what to the Oscars are to film and the Grammy's are to music. It's a really big deal! So even though each year I try my best to watch these awards shows, I'm satisfied by just watching the red carpet. Let's face it, the Amazing and Not so Amazing fashion is what I'll talk about anyway lol. The red carpet for the Prime Time Emmy's has to be my favorite of the year so far. It was refreshing to see the celebrities dress the part while remaining individuals. They took chances with not so traditional colors and fabrics for gowns. Their stylists did excellent jobs by getting garments and accessories that complimented the celebs. When asked who they were wearing, many of the answered with a smile and an excited tone! Here are some of my favorite looks of the evening.

    The MTV VMA's took place last night 08/28/11 at the Nokia Theatre in LA to celebrate the best music videos of the year. As much as I LOVE Music and watch the awards show, I'm most excited about the Red Carpet!!! As always, some came "Dressed to Kill" and some should consider firing their stylist!     The ESPY Awards took place last night 06/13/11 in LA to honor the best star athletes and memorable moments from the past year. This is considered Academy Awards of Sports and the athletes walked the red carpet in their best. They definitely brought their "A" game and the were way more fashionable the the BET Awards lol.             So the 2011 BET awards took place this past Sunday 06/27/11 in LA. I'm so sorry for the delayed post but the truth is no one really blew me away.... With the music industry's fashion heavy hitters like Kanye West, Rihanna and Beyonce not in attendance, I knew the red or green carpet would be suspect. After some research, I found a few celebs that were on their Fashion "A" game. Take a gander at my favorite looks of the night. Do you agree?

                The 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards took place last night, June 6th at Lincoln Center. For the tenth year in a row, Swarovski underwrote the event. The annual event recognizes the outstanding contributions made to American fashion by individuals from all areas of the industry and related arts, with awards categories for design excellence in womenswear, menswear and accessories as well as extraordinary accomplishments in journalism, creative vision and lifetime achievement. Most of my favorites (fashion wise) were in attendance. Check my favorite looks from last night.

                        Saying goodbye to the big O is going to be hard for me. I remember running home from school as a child almost breathless to make it in front of the TV so I can get my daily dose of Oprah Winfrey. It actually wasn't up until a few weeks ago that I started thinking about what I'll be doing at 4pm Monday through Friday now that she won't on the TV. The Oprah Winfrey show has affected lives of many on and off the the air. She's been an open book for all to see and judge but never let that break her spirit or will to be great and make a difference. It's weird but Oprah has a way of making you feel like she's talking directly to you, as if you're having lunch with one of girlfriends who already knows you. She's dared to be different and make a lane of her own. She's spoken about topics and issues on her show that no other talk show host would think of. She's established, hard working, assertive, even keeled, spiritual, beautiful, she knows who she is, what she believes and makes no apologies for that. These are all characteristics I strive to have everyday. We've also watched Oprah evolve as a  fashion pioneer in her own right. Let's take a walk down Oprah's fashion memory lane!

    One of the biggest awards shows of the year aired last night May 22,2011. The Billboard Music awards honors artists based on Billboard's year-end music charts, which are based on Nielson data for sales, downloads and airplay. It's pretty much "Popularity Contest" of the music industry. All of the who's who and heavy hitters were in attendance. Most came dressed to kill and some should just kill their stylist. There's no way that Ke$ha is making fashion mistakes like this at every awards show.... I think she's trying to make my eyes burn. She's striving to make it on a worst dressed list of every awards show. This dress is just very unflattering and she doesn't look to happy at all

  One of the biggest fashion events of the year took place last night. The Met Gala was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, here in New York City. This event attracts all of our favorite celebs. Most come dressed to kill and some should just kill their stylist! This year's theme for the Met Costume institute Gala was Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty.
